Since its foundation in 1981 by a group of
photographers the Fotohof Gallery is an important reference point for art
photography in Austria. Besides our exhibition program at Erhard Platz featuring
acclaimed as well as young artists troughout the world, we offer travelling
exhibitions of various photographers.
Fotohof produces regularly artists' books and portfolios and we have Austria´s
biggest specialized photo library with approximately 5500 titels on photography
and media art. We are also proud of our educational programs in and outside
of Salzburg.
The Fotohof Gallery is still run as a cooperative by a group of people,
who are artists, photographers, or professionally related to photography
and art.
